Ted Leo, Feierwerk, 12.05.2007

Ted Leo is one of those artists who I reckon won't create anything new. But who cares?? Everything he's done he did with such energy and dedication you can't feel anything but admiration for him.
The Flesh opened for him. This band is one to watch for the future in my humble opinion. Imagine The Specials' Ghost Town, cross it with a dose if Block Party and you won't be too far away from the reality. It doesn't help either that the singer reminded me of someone I'm quite fond of. Check them out here.
Anyway, Ted Leo and his Pharmacists appeared after about half an hour. Opening with a cut from his latest Album, he wasted no time in winning the attention of his audience. Throw in 2 songs from The Tiranny of Distance for good measure and he was in the zone. At this point I must concede, that I was much too drunk to remember clearly how it really was. But it is with no exaggeration whatsoever that I say, that all I can remember thinking during the gig was, FUCK MY LIFE! I'M GONNA START A ROCK N ROLL BAND AND CHANGE THOUSANDS AND MILLIONS OF LIVES! I'M GONNA CHANGE THE WORLD! And in the end, this feeling I had, counted more than all that what I could've written here. Peace out... I need some sleep...
