I tried to upload the first Roxy Music album to my ipod shuffle today, but to no avail. Why? Because of the brilliant stupidity of the good people at EMI. I really don't see the point bringing out cds with copy control. Give it up! Someone's bound to find a way to crack it. After wasting 5 minutes cursing EMI, I just downloaded the whole album from the net, and voila, the glory of glam rock in my ipod. I've also taken up the habit of downloading album I own on vinyl. Cos obviously, they're not easy to convert into digital files. And downloading unreleased albums... heh heh.... Of course if I like it I buy it. After all it's not fair to the artist who sweated blood and tears making these glorious piece of music... But really... Why can't you corporate pigs just see file sharing as another way of promoting music? Don't try to defeat us... Instead, try to CONVINCE us to buy the records...
